Contents: This book is the author's first person account of the combat missions he flew against Japan from February of 1945 until the end of the war in August of 1945. In fact, he flew his very last mission on the day the second atomic bomb was dropped, though he was not part of that mission.

The book is very no-nonsense in style and recounts the incendiary missions that the B-29s were flying against Japanese cities to try and force the Japanese to finally see the futility of the war and to surrender. Illustrated with photographs and drawings.
